Release agents are a basic element in the manufacture of molded polyurethane foams. Due to the very high adhesion properties of polyurethane in its formation process, it is necessary that once the parts have been formed, they can be easily removed from the mold.
At Concentrol we highlight different technologies depending on their structure in solvent or water based dispersion or water based emulsion.
Water-Based Mold Release Agents:

- SILICONE SURFACTANT FOR HR MOULDED FOAM. Designed for soundproofing and acoustic applications. Offers superior stabilization and broad processing range with extremely low VOCs.
Rigid and Spray Polyurethane Foam:
- SILICONE SURFACTANT FOR DISCONTINUOS PANELS. Compatible with various polyol, isocyanate, and blowing agent systems. Delivers dimensional stability and improved fire resistance.
- SILICONE SURFACTANTS FOR CLOSED-CELL SPRAY POLYURETHANE FOAM. Optimized for water-blown systems with density of 1/2 lb/ft³. Produces fine, uniform cell structures and is deal for spray and pour-in-place applications.
Slabstock Flexible Polyurethane Foam:
- HIGH-ACTIVITY SILICONE SURFACTANTS. Soluble across common mixing ratios for flexible polyether foams. Suitable for low-density systems and continuos or box foam production. It can be used with methylene chloride.
- STANDARD SILICONE SURFACTANTS FOR LOW-COMBUSTIBILITY FOAM. Delivers excellent breathability, stability, and narrow density/IFD gradients. Suitable for all-water or methylene chloride-blown systems in both continuous and discontinuous processes.
