Mold Release Solutions:
Release agents are a basic element in the manufacture of molded polyurethane foams. Due to the very high adhesion properties of polyurethane in its formation process, it is necessary that once the parts have been formed, they can be easily removed.
At Concentrol we highlight different technologies depending on their concentration in solvent or water base.
Water-Based Mold Release Agents:
- Low toxicity and emissions
- Non-flammable
- Anti-noise effect in greasy finishes
- Less fouling of the inside of the mold, the greasier the mold, the less fouling.
Solvent-Based Mold Release Agents:
- Wide working range
- Fast drying
- Easy cleaning by scraping, melting or blasting
- Easy to apply: brush, airless, airmix, airbrush, aerographic
Silicone Surfactant Solutions:
High-Resilience (HR) Polyurethane Foam:
- SPECIALLY INDICATED FOR MDI FOAM. Low-VOC solution offering excellent processing latitude and cell control. Ideal for applications such as headrests and seating, with enhanced surface appearance and reduced pinholes.
- SPECIALLY INDICATED FOR HR MOULDED FOAM. Designed for soundproofing and acoustic applications. Offers superior stabilization and broad processing range with extremely low VOCs.
Rigid and Spray Polyurethane Foam:
- DISCONTINUOS PANELS. Compatible with various polyol, isocyanate, and blowing agent systems. Delivers dimensional stability and improved fire resistance.
- CLOSED-CELL SPRAY POLYURETHANE FOAM. Optimized for water-blown systems with density of 1/2 lb/ft³. Produces fine, uniform cell structures and is deal for spray and pour-in-place applications.
Slabstock Flexible Polyurethane Foam:
Standard silicone surfactant that its activity is medium to high suitable for formulations containing hydrophilic polyols, commonly used in standard formulations as a cell opener or in viscoelastic or hypersoft foam formulations. It is suitable for methylene chloride blowing agent foams. This surfactant is popularly beneficial in formulations requiring a broad processing latitude, as it provides excellent processing flexibility. Even at high sytabilizer usage levels or increased tin levels, it results in less foam tightening compared to many standard surfactants, leading to a more open cell structure. Suitable for continuous and discontinuous technique. We just offer special solutions recommended for C02 foams and foams optimized with optimized fine cell structure. Ideal for PU Systems that requires a high stabilizing support. Wide latitude is also achieved in all types of continuous machines. Solutions exhibiting low to medium density range and suitable for low VOC and CO2 processing.
