Concentrol is currently developing the ECOPUR project, financed by the CDTI; a project that is foreseen as a novelty and future market opportunity. The CDTI’s main objective is to finance business projects for the creation and significant improvement of a productive process, product or service presented by a single company or by a business group through the Research and Development Projects programme (CDTI-PID).

Our company has always based its philosophy on diversification. Since we cover many markets and products, the current R&D work is to perfect and innovate within the priority families in order to be a world reference in them without forgetting or dismissing any issue or product that may be technically viable and commercially profitable.
The R+D strategy is based on an open model where projects originate from internal prospecting aligned with the business strategy, the specific needs of clients and meetings/discussions with Technology Centres/Universities that can generate national or European proposals.

ECOPUR’s objective

The objective of the project is the development of a range of water-based polyurethane dispersions for the formulation of coatings and adhesives, and in parallel, that of a reactive hot-melt adhesive also made of polyurethane.

The innovation is in using the greatest number of products from renewable sources, whose contribution to VOC and FOG emissions is minimal, and emphasizing their biodegradability.
