Concentrol remains at the forefront in developing new solutions to meet customer needs. The additives division presents a new range of products.

ORDISOL DIP-162 is the first compound in this new range of silicone-based products developed at Concentrol. Silicone chemistry is extremely versatile, and with the corresponding modifications to the polysiloxane chain, it is possible to create a variety of products for multiple industrial sectors, such as:

  • Wetting agents for the formulation of water-based and solvent-based coatings
  • Super wetting agents for the formulation of water-based and co-solvent coatings
  • Wetting agents for the formulation of agricultural treatment products
  • Silicone surfactants for the polyurethane sector
  • Defoamers for technical and food applications

The mixture of silicone compounds with organic chains is the basis of the new chemistry developed at Concentrol, of which the reference ORDISOL DIP-162 is the first example.

It is a polymeric product of medium molecular weight, hydrophobic, ideal for the surface treatment of inorganic fillers, pigments, and flame retardants. The average molecular weight, its low viscosity and its adjusted polarity make it an easily dispersible product in thermoplastic compounds and for applications such as electrical cables.

ORDISOL DIP-162 can be added to masterbatches formulations as a general-purpose dispersing agent. In polyolefins and engineering resins, the use of ORDISOL DIP-162 manages to improve the dispersibility of flame retardants and smoke suppressants such as MDH or ATH (magnesium hydroxide or hydroxide of aluminum). It improves the dispersibility of inorganic fillers such as titanium dioxide or talc and of organic pigments, such as phthalo blues or DPPs (Diketopyrrolopyrroles) and inorganic, such as ultramarine blue or iron oxides.
