Concentrol, a chemical solutions company, has joined the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.
Moving forward, the corporate challenge is to continue developing business practices responsibly rooted in universal principles that contribute to a more stable and inclusive global market. However, the goal also extends to aiding social prosperity, an indispensable environment for business success.
The UN Global Compact: joining forces on a global scale
The United Nations Global Compact calls on companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of the UN’s goals and issues embedded in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Launched in 2000, the UN initiative is the world’s largest corporate sustainability proposal, with headquarters in over 16 countries and more than 69 local networks. Currently, it boasts a global network of over 17,000 companies and 4,000 non-commercial participants committed to taking responsible business action to build a sustainable future.
At Concentrol, our aim is to innovate with chemistry to have a positive impact on society and the planet. Therefore, we feel fortunate to be able to join this international network and unite on a global scale to advocate for corporate responsibility.
