Concentrol, a leading company in the chemical sector, has made a donation to the Escola Verda in the context of the “Ultra Clean Marathon per la natura”. This event took place on Saturday, March 18th, 2023, where the school participated alongside the “La Salle Girona” team.
The Ultra Clean Marathon (UCM) is a great sports and environmental challenge that seeks to raise awareness among athletes about the importance of caring for the environment. During the race, participants collect abandoned waste in natural areas and learn about environmental issues at each refreshment point. The event’s organization uses the registration fees to finance nature conservation and environmental protection projects.
The UCM is born from the environmental third sector and incorporates sustainability in its DNA. The event has been designed by integrating environmental variables in every aspect of the competition. Among the notable elements are the absence of plastic signaling tapes, the adoption of available tracks in the Instamaps Cartographic application, and the use of water jugs, reusable cups, and organic food at the refreshment points.
In the face of the climate emergency, Concentrol is committed to taking sides and making the necessary changes to maintain or increase efficiency while opting for sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact.
This donation to the Escola Verda in the Ultra Clean Marathon per la natura is a demonstration of Concentrol’s commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. The company will continue to support initiatives and projects that promote awareness and protection of the natural environment, reaffirming its social and environmental responsibility.
Concentrol’s participation in events such as the Ultra Clean Marathon demonstrates that sports and sustainability can go hand in hand, generating a positive impact on society and the environment. In addition, collaboration with institutions and teams such as Escola Verda reinforces the importance of working together to face current environmental challenges and promote the adoption of responsible and sustainable practices in all areas.
