References for the polyurethane industry are one of the business branches that generate the most business for Concentrol. Aware of the great demand for this type of products, and following its philosophy of constant training and innovation, the experts of this branch never miss the opportunity to attend all possible international events related to this branch of knowledge.

The Polyurethane Foam Association (PFA) organised its autumn meeting in Charlotte (North Carolina) on 3rd and 4th of November. This year’s meeting combined face-to-face attendance at the Omni Charlotte hotel with live webcasting to provide access opportunities for those affected by the international travel restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Javier Horas, the senior manager of Concentrol’s Performance Materials division in the United States, summarised the content of the paper “Hybrid release agents for polyurethane foam: innovation, application and environmental impact”. In his presentation, he explained why hybrid release agents can offer a clear advantage in terms of volatile air emissions and worker exposure risks.

This year’s edition, as part of the Polyurethane Foam Association’s (PFA) 40th birthday, the Polyurethane Foam Association’s Hall of Fame honoured individuals and companies who have made a difference to the flexible polyurethane foam industry.

This is the second time in a year that Concentrol participates in this event of reference in the polyurethane industry. At both meetings, the latest technical studies on solutions for this sector were presented, within the framework of sustainability. Attending this and other sectorial congresses allows the company to increase its knowledge, to keep up to date with the main novelties, to share information with scholars and interested parties and to network with other professionals in the sector.
